The Accidental Falls
On The Accidental Falls Portland, Oregon’s Eyelids, one of rock’s best-kept secrets, step firmly out from the considerable shadow cast by the band members’ second-to-none pedigrees earned from time spent in Guided By Voices, The Decemberists, Stephen Malkmus and Elliott Smith. Featuring lyrics written by poet and frequent Tim Buckley collaborator Larry Beckett that span over four decades and produced by REM iconoclast Peter Buck, The Accidental Falls features a bountiful cacophony of gorgeously shimmering riffs and songs so delectably crafted that all who value the electric guitar as a source of joy should find themselves awash in goosebumps once under this record’s spell. A testament to rock’s remaining vitality as an art form, Eyelids’ fourth album finds the outfit as both stewards of a classic sound (Chiltonites and disciples of IRS Records-era REM will fall hard for this project) and accomplished artists propelling their craft to thrilling new heights. A record that practically drips with the abundant passion and well-honed skill of its creators; song after song, riff after riff, stanza after stanza, The Accidental Falls casts a hypnotic spell over the listener and triumphantly reminds us, hearts fully on sleeves, why we fell in love with rock n’ roll in the first place.
Stuart Anthony
Love & Trial
The poet Larry Beckett draws from the ancient epic 'The Voyage' and the hymns of Orpheus, passages from the philosopher Heraclitus, and the renaissance Cretan poem 'Erotokritos'. These works are translated by Beckett into his own poetry, with Anthony writing the accompanying music. There are also new Beckett/Anthony originals, with the siren reappearing in one of them. Using instruments such as the Tambouras, a 7-string long-neck instrument, the pocket-size Baglamas, and twelve-string guitar, songs in the Greek idiom have been formed, sung by Anthony or recited by Beckett.
When Stuart got a copy of Amelia Earhart by Beckett, he felt inspired to try to capture the spirit of her, in music. Larry gave him a free hand to choose which passages to set; three songs were written, and a cover recorded as well. The title ‘Risk is Music’ comes from the poem itself. Stuart plays all the instruments. The EP was produced by Beckett and Anthony’s long-time friend and producer, Paul Walmsley.

Mirabeau Bridge
A songwriter and a poet bring the great Guillaume Apollinaire’s visionary modernist French poetry, into English and contemporary song, and include readings accompanied by new music.
Add a poem by Larry Beckett set in Paris, and a playful cover of he & Tim Buckley’s ‘Moulin Rouge’ and you have an album shimmering in French vibes, and rich in a love of the romantic qualities of the great city. Guitars and accordions, drones and spirits, troupes and chanteurs, zithers and drums ring out songs of love and longing. Poems read from Paris streets and bridges, in full romantic vision and surrealism.

The Long Lost Band
Formed in Lancaster, UK in January 2010 they recorded their first album ‘The Big Light Secret’. Larry started writing with the band in 2014. They made an album together called ‘One More Mile’ (2015).
Song To The Siren EP
One More Mile
Song To The Siren was written by Tim Buckley and Larry Beckett in 1967, and Tim first performed it on The Monkees show in 1968. He later included the song on his ground-breaking album ‘Starsailor’ in 1970.
The song has been covered many times since then by a catalogue of stars including Robert Plant, Bryan Ferry, Sinead O’Connor, Elizabeth Fraser, and George Michael, to name just a few.
In 2016, a new and very unique version has been made with Larry Beckett himself present on the recording, telling in spoken word, the moving story of how the song came to be composed.
Larry’s account is woven into a complete musical performance of Song To The Siren by Larry’s musical collaborators The Long Lost Band from Lancaster, UK.
Jerry Yester
Producer of Goodbye and Hello, Jerry also produced for many artists including The Association, The Turtles, and Judy Henske. He also toured with the Lovin’ Spoonful. In the 60’s and 70’s this kept Jerry busy creating music with and for other artists, but was always creating music for himself as well.

Demos written in the 70’s for the love of the art with Jerry Yester. Tim Buckley
As a songwriter and music arranger, Beckett collaborated with Tim Buckley in the late 1960s and early 1970s on several songs and albums, including the critically acclaimed "Song to the Siren" which has been recorded by many artists, from This Mortal Coil to Robert Plant.
